Our church is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Church Custodian to ensure our facilities remain clean, orderly, and welcoming. This role is essential in maintaining the overall health, safety, and sanitary conditions of our church buildings.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Maintain restrooms to the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Floor Care: Vacuum and mop floors regularly.
  • Surface Care: Dust and wipe all surfaces.
  • Minor Maintenance: Perform small repairs and upkeep tasks.
  • Miscellaneous Duties: Tackle various tasks to ensure the church facilities are in top condition.

Requirements:

  • Independence and Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Keep tasks and responsibilities well-organized.
  • Positive Attitude: Approach tasks with a positive and proactive mindset.
  • Flexible Scheduling: Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain a keen eye for detail in all tasks.
  • Physical Ability: Capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.

Physical Demands:

  • Heavy Lifting: Must be able to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Standing and Repetitive Motions: Long periods of standing and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Bending and Reaching: Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor Environment: Work primarily indoors with some outdoor tasks.
  • Chemical Exposure: Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals and potentially hazardous materials.
