At Hillside Church, our vision is rooted in a simple prayer from Scripture:
I pray that the great God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ may give you the wisdom of His Spirit. Then you will be able to understand the secrets about Him as you know Him better. I pray that your hearts will be able to understand. I pray that you will know about the hope given by God’s call. I pray that you will see how great the things are that He has promised to those who belong to Him. I pray that you will know how great His power is for those who have put their trust in Him.
EPHESIANS 1.17-19
This prayer shapes everything we seek to be and become as a church family. Our desire is not simply that people would know about God — but that they would truly know Him, and experience the life He offers.
We believe that knowing God goes far beyond information or belief. In Scripture, “knowing” God speaks of relationship — a deep, personal, lived connection.
Our hope is that every person at Hillside would encounter God in a real and personal way — not just with their minds, but with their hearts. We want faith to be more than something we understand; we want it to be something we experience as we grow in relationship with Jesus.
We believe the resurrection of Jesus changes everything.
Because Jesus rose from the dead, we live with a hope that does not fade — a hope that suffering, brokenness, and death do not have the final word. This hope shapes how we live today and how we face the future with confidence and peace.
At Hillside, we want people to live anchored in the hope of God’s calling — a hope that brings meaning, endurance, and joy in every season of life.
We believe every person has been uniquely created by God with purpose and intention. Each of us has gifts to offer, and together we make up the body of Christ.

Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, God empowers His people to live transformed lives — marked by freedom, love, forgiveness, purpose, and hope. This power is not just for belief, but for everyday life and faithful witness in the world.
