Back To School Giveaway Support

Our Back-to-School Giveaway is happening this Saturday, August 29 from 1–3pm, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our Hillside family, we are in great shape to bless families in our community with school supplies and backpacks!

There are just a few supplies we could still especially use before Saturday:

Scissors
Duotangs
Geometry sets
Pencil crayons

If you’re able to pick up any of these items this week, donations can be dropped off at the church.

We also need volunteers to help us on Saturday! This year, families will be welcomed by volunteers who will help them find the supplies they need for each child’s grade, along with backpacks while quantities last. There will be lots of opportunities to welcome people, help with supplies, keep things organized, and simply make this a warm and caring experience for the families who come through our doors.

If you can volunteer, please plan to be at Hillside at 12:00pm on Saturday. That will give us time to walk everyone through how the giveaway will work, get into place, and be ready before the doors open at 1:00pm.

Thank you for helping us make Gear Up possible. Whether you’ve donated supplies, given financially, helped prepare, or can serve on Saturday, every part helps us remind families in our community that they are seen, valued and cared for.
