We’re really looking forward to this week as Cyrille and his family arrive here in Airdrie and begin this new chapter with us at Hillside.
As you can imagine, stepping into a new country comes with a lot of unknowns—new systems, new rhythms, and the simple work of turning a place into a home. And as a church, we have a meaningful opportunity to come alongside them in these first days and weeks to help make that transition a little smoother and a lot more welcoming.
We’re putting together a few simple ways we can support them as they get settled. Some of that will look like helping furnish their apartment and getting the basics in place. Some of it will be providing a few meals in those early days. And some of it will simply be showing up—offering friendship, connection, and helping them begin to feel at home here among us.
We want to do this in a way that’s thoughtful and not overwhelming, so we’ll be coordinating things on our end. If you’d like to be part of helping in any of these ways, you can simply fill out the form below, and we’ll help you find a place to jump in.
Thank you for continuing to be the kind of church that lives this out so naturally. This is one of those moments where what we say about being family becomes something we get to practice together.
As family we go.
