This week we take a look at the opening verses of the gospel of Matthew. It's a long list of names making up the family history of Jesus. And Pastor Brad shows us why it's important to remember our history. We see that God valued each name on this list and ensured these names would be kept forever. We see that even though there is some stories represented in this list that are very difficult, God used these crooked sticks to make straight lines. And we see the promise that whatever our past may be, our past is a promise that God has given us a future.
