In this message from The Shepherd series, we explored God as Jehovah Nissi—the Lord our Banner. Looking at Psalm 23 alongside the story of God revealing Himself as a banner over His people, we were reminded that our battles are not fought alone. The Shepherd stands over us, goes before us, and secures the victory we could never win by ourselves.
This sermon invited us to lift our eyes in the middle of conflict, opposition, or weariness and remember whose name we stand under. Our confidence is not rooted in our strength, but in the God who fights for His people and leads them in triumph.
