Proverbs 4:23

In this message from our Stuff You’ve Googled series, Follow Your Heart, we explored one of the most common messages in our culture and asked whether it actually leads us toward life. While following our hearts can sound freeing and authentic, Scripture reminds us that our hearts are often conflicted, wounded, and shaped by desires that cannot always be trusted to lead us well.

This sermon invited us to move beyond simply looking inward for direction and instead learn to be formed by the voice, wisdom, and presence of God. Jesus does not call us to blindly follow every feeling or impulse, but to surrender our hearts to Him so He can transform them. Real freedom is not found in following our hearts wherever they lead, but in allowing God to shape our hearts into something new.
