Acts 20:22–25, Philippians 3:7-8, Romans 8:35-39

In this message from our Stuff You’ve Googled series, You’re Never More Safe Than When You Are in the Will of God, we examined a phrase that sounds reassuring but doesn’t quite fit the story of Scripture. Looking at the life of Paul and the experiences of the early church, we discovered that following Jesus did not make their lives safer, easier, or more comfortable. Instead, it often led them into places of risk, sacrifice, and uncertainty.

This sermon reminded us that God’s will is not a guarantee of physical safety—it is a promise of His presence. The goal of the Christian life is not to avoid difficulty, but to faithfully follow Jesus wherever He leads. Even when the path is challenging, we can move forward with confidence, knowing that nothing can separate us from the love and purposes of God.
