Mark 1:29-38

In the opening message of our Weird series, When Jesus Walked Away, we explored one of the more surprising moments in the Gospels—when Jesus intentionally stepped away from people who still wanted Him. Through this story, we discovered that faithfulness is not the same as saying yes to every opportunity. Even Jesus lived with clear priorities, healthy boundaries, and a deep commitment to the Father's calling.

This sermon invited us to consider the difference between being driven by every demand and being led by God's purpose. Following Jesus doesn't always mean doing more; sometimes it means having the wisdom and courage to walk away from good things in order to remain faithful to the best things God has called us to.
